We are grateful to Roger Summers and Derek Donald for these 1940s and 50s photos from Kintore School.

Kintore School 1952

Roger says this photo is from around 1952. He says he is "the wee guy on the left of second row, standing".

Kintore School 1953

Roger reckons this is about 1953.

This photo was taken to commemorate the Coronation in 1953.

Kintore Netball 1957

This is the Kintore Netball team in 1957. Back row (L to R)
Myra Wood, Evelyn Ogg, Helen Mitchell, Martha McRobb.
Front row Alice Napier, Alison Alan, Irene Smith. Roger says the picture was taken in Inverurie and the PT Instructor was AJK Munro.

Kintore School 1947

This picture is from about 1947 to 48. Mrs Morrison is the teacher. Roger Summers is standing next to her and his brother Ronnie is at the other end.

Kintore School 1950

This is a Kintore School class about 1950. Roger Summers says he and his brother are in about the same position as the other photos, but he assures us he did move between 1947 and 1950.

Kintore School 1952-53

Derek Donald sent this photo of his class taken about 1952/53. His grandfather had the grocer's PR Donald in Kintore. In 1954 his family moved to Fort William and he now lives in Inverness.
