Kintore artist's early work on show

An exhibition showing early etchings by a Kintore-based artist who, during her lifetime, was recognised as Britain’s oldest working artist, will take place at Balbithan House on selected days from Sunday, July 29 to Sunday, August 19.
The late Mary McMurtrie is known as one of Scotland’s finest botanical painters. However this exhibition of recently discovered etchings reveal a quite different style.
Dating back to the mid 1920's when Mary was an undergraduate at Gray's School of Art, these early etchings of landscapes and portraits remind us of the outstanding talent of a remarkable woman.
Sun 29 July - Sun 19 August (Fri, Sat, Suns only, 12-4pm)
