Kintore Summer Festival programme announced

The programme for the Kintore Summer Festival has been announced. As usual the main events take place on Saturday, May 21 and centre on The Square in Kintore.

There are a number of other events starting with the Two Fat Ladies Cookery Demonstration on Friday, May 13 in the Kintore Public Hall. Then on Thursday, May 19 there is an afternoon of music with Mary Burnett in Provost Lawrence Court from 2pm.

On Saturday, May 21, the festival gets under way with Kintore Pipe Band marching from the Public Hall into The Square at 11 am.

Programme

11.00 am: Kintore Pipe Band, marching from the Public Hall to the Square.
11:30 am: Kintore School Pupils perform at the Public Hall.
12.30 pm: Evolution Dance School put on various dancing performances, in the Public Hall.
12.30 pm: Mr Bug the Bugman Creepy Crawlies Show for 5-year old and above, Upper Hall.
1.30 pm: Mr Bug the Bugman Creepy Crawlies Show, Public Hall.
2.00 pm: Balloon & Magic Show By Allan's Magic - arrive promptly to avoid disappointment, Public Hall.
2.00 pm: African Drumming Drumming workshop at the Church.
2.00 pm: Highland Dancing performed by students of Lawrence Dance Academy at The Square.
3.00 pm: Mr Bug the Bugman A touch & feel bug show, Upper Hall.
3.00 pm: African Drumming Drumming workshop at the Church.
3.15 pm: Balloon & Magic Show By Allan's Magic - arrive promptly to avoid disappointment, Public Hall.
4.00 pm OnStage Drama Group - A show by the students of OnStage Drama Group at the Public Hall.

Live Music
Enjoy Live Music all afternoon by Kintore Pipe Band and Chalmers Mackay Music School showcase of bands, organised by Ruby Mackay at the Square. www.chalmersmackay.org e-mail: chalmac@btconnect.com

Variety of Stalls
Stalls selling local goods & products and also various community groups stalls at the Square.

Food & Refreshments
Teas & Coffees will be available in the Square and at Local Coffee Shops.
Burgers, Tuckshop & Juices and BBQ food stalls at the Square. There will be “Hot Roast Pork” too.
Other meals can also be obtained from local cafes, restaurants and takeaway establish- ments within Kintore.

Various children's activities including Face Painting & Tattoos, Balloons, Kiddies Ride, Library Story Telling, bouncy castle, Jiffo The Clown, Tai Chi Demonstration and many more.

A Laser Hanger for laser quest (over 8 years old), Bouncy Castle and Penalty Shoot Out.
