The detailed programme for the Kintore summer Festival on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 22 and 23 has just been released.

Following an Afternoon of Music at Provost Lawrence Court on Thursday, May 20, the festival really gets under way in The Square in KIntore at 11 am on Saturday.
There will be the usual live music in The Square with Chalmers Mackay Music School bands, Food and Refreshments all day and lots of other stalls and side shows.

By popular demand the Fancy Dress Competition is back. Open to all children, there is no entry form, or entry fee. You just turn up at Kintore Public Hall by 10.45 am.
Saturday
11.00 am
The opening event will then be the march, led by Kintore Pipe Band – with the Fancy Dress Competition entrants – from the public hall to The Square for the judging.
11.30 am
Kintore School Pupils performing in the Public Hall.
12.30 pm
Two Fat Laddies do a 30-minute cookery demonstration in the Public Hall.
12.30 - 2.00 pm
Kintore Music Group with Mary Burnett at Kintore kirk.
1.30 pm
Mr Bug the Bugman presents a creepy crawlie show in the Public Hall.

2.00 pm
Gary Seagraves magic show in the Public Hall.
2.00 pm, 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm
African Drumming workshops at Kintore kirk.
3.00 pm
Two Fat Laddies with a one-hour cookery demonstration in the Public Hall.
3.00 pm
Mr Bug the Bugman presents a touch and feel bug show in the Upper Hall at the Public Hall.
4.00 pm
OnStage Drama Group in the Public Hall.
Sunday
1.30pm
Kintore’s festival weeken ends with the now-traditional duck race on the River Don at 1.30pm on Sunday with 1,500 plastic ducks!
