Visit the Garioch Heritage Centre free

From now until the end of March you can visit the Garioch Heritage Centre in Inverurie, absolutely free.

Garioch Heritage Centre

The heritage centre, which opened in October last year in the former Inverurie Loco Works, is open from Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 4 pm.

On the upper floors are fascinating displays depicting aspects of life in the Garioch along with a special exhibition telling the story of the Inverurie Paper Mill. Downstairs there is a reading area, with a wealth of local information and photographs accessible on computer terminals.

The Works Coffee Shop downstairs offers tempting options for lunches teas and coffees.

Upcoming events on our What’s On page or on the Garioch Heritage Centre website:

  • Thursday, March 22: A Heritage in Stone: Ian Mitchell Davidson
  • Saturday, March 31: Easter Egg-stravaganza
  • Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21: Nae the Antiques Road Show, but affa like it!

The Garioch Heritage Centre is just beyond the Aldi supermarket on the Inverurie Loco Works site.
