Anyone looking for a personal challenge and keen to help a local cause, will soon have the chance to try fire walking.
The Fire Walk is organised by a Kintore family who are fundraising to get their son to the USA for potentially life-changing surgery.
“How about a wee 20ft walk over burning hot embers?,” say the family, urging people to sign up or for more information.
The ambition for Lewis Fraser to have this chance that he could walk unaided, was featured in the Evening Express last night. The Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery alone would cost $39,745, but with braces and equipment, possible PERCS surgery, travel and accommodation, plus post-op physio therapy, the total the family are seeking to raise is £65,000.
If you feel able to help the Frasers towards their target, but don’t want to test your toes, please go to www.treeofhope.org.uk/leg-it-for-lewis/
