Happy birthday to the Bothie

Kintore’s youth café is three years old. It was established as an initiative to give young people in Kintore somewhere to call their own, where they could meet, socialise and take part in activities.

But, do you really know what goes on behind those innovative straw-bale walls, at the heart of our community?

You don’t? Well, this is your chance to come and see what goes on at the Bothie, and how you can support it.

During the week of December 5, the Bothie is going to throw its doors open to the community on four nights, from 6pm to 9pm each night.

  • MONDAY, December 5: Come along and find out more about what goes on at the Bothie – how the community can help and how we can all benefit.
  • TUESDAY, December 6: Tuesday night is particularly targeted to businesses and the Bothie is inviting companies and organisations to come along to our open evening to learn about the work of the Bothie and how businesses could benefit.
  • THURSDAY, December 8: Come along and find out more about what goes on at the Bothie – how the community can help and how we can all benefit.
  • FRIDAY, December 9: The Bothie’s Birthday Party 6-9pm. Come along and help us celebrate what we’ve achieved since 2013!

Everyone is welcome and you will have a chance to chat with some of the Bothie folk and find out what the Bothie can achieve for the community of Kintore. This is your chance to see how you can help the Bothie and how the Bothie can help you.

Activities, group chats and refreshments will be available!

The Bothie is at Allendale Gardens, Kintore, AB51 0UT. Heading out Forest Road from The Square in the centre of Kintore, take the first road on the left which is Allendale Gardens. Follow Allendale Gardens round to the right and, as you turn the corner, the Bothie is behind the car park on the right.
