Application for Kintore East development

NewsThe consortium behind the
Kintore East development have submitted an application for approval of matters specified in the planning permission in principle for the 600-house Kintore East development.

The plans submitted with the application show the proposed layout of elements of the major expansion of Kintore, including the new school, access roads and the proposed location of community facilities.
This new application follows on from the approval in November 2015 of the
Kintore East outline application for 600 houses, neighbourhood centre, landscaping and open space.
As the plans make clear the houses will be to the south and east of Tuach Hill with no development on the hill itself. A new access road will be required and this is planned to be from a new roundabout on School Road.
The
Site and Location Plan in the ‘documents’ section shows the location of the school and the proposed community facility. Kintore and District Community Council are concerned that this is too remote from the existing centre of Kintore. The community community council would prefer to see the community facility located at the start of the access road for Kintore East, at the roundabout on School Road.
Comments on the application can be submitted online.
