More and more people are realising the benefits of growing their own produce.
Tending an a garden is a healthy occupation that gets you out into the fresh air and gives you physical exercise without need a gym membership! And, of course, the results of your labours are fruit and vegetables that are full of nutrients. Plus, the bonus is the amount you save on your grocery bill.
But, not everyone has a garden and, if they do, it may not be big enough for growing fruit and vegetables. That’s where allotments come in.
A Kintore allotment enthusiast, Mark Zhang, has contacted us to ask if there are others out there who would like to see allotments in Kintore.
He has found out that Aberdeenshire Council have no plans to set up allotments in Kintore, but would consider it if more than six people request the provision of allotments.
