Public access defibrillator training

As we now have a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) to be installed on the First Photographic building in the square, KDCC have arranged a PAD and basic emergency first aid training course.
This will held in the Bothie (in Allendale Gardens, first left on Forest Road, heading up from the Town House) on Saturday, August 29
. at 10.00am until 12 noon
There are still a few places left and anyone interested can attend for free.
If there is sufficient interest we may be able to arrange an afternoon session as well, but in the first instance please confirm your interest and ability to attend the morning session.
For information the PAD (similar to the one above) was provided to the Kintore Community following the request of the Community Council. It is funded by the Scottish Government and delivered to us along with the training by NHS Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service.
We are very grateful to both the Scottish Government, NHS Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service for the PAD and their help in organising the training, also First Photographic and their building owner Alex McLeod for allowing us to install the unit on the building in the square, making it central and easily accessible.
In an emergency you have only around 3 minutes to restore breathing and circulation in someone whose heart and breathing has stopped, so basic CPR training and use of the PAD will hopefully help preserve the life on anyone unfortunate to need the help in Kintore and anywhere else you may be.To book places on the course, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please reply by Monday 24th August.
