What happens after school construction delayed?

The new Kintore primary school at Midmill had been scheduled to open in August 2016, in time to take pupils for the 2016-17 school year.
But, with the delay in construction work, due to difficulties in Aberdeenshire Council acquiring the site, completion will not be in time for the new school year.
"Unfortunately, we have to now accept that the difficulties in acquiring the site for the new school mean it will not be ready for August 2016,” says East Garioch councillor Martin Ford. “So the crucial thing is to put plans in place for an opening, instead, part way through the school year.
"Bringing the new school into use in October 2016 or, more likely, January 2017 will require careful planning. I know Council officers in the education service are working on how a later opening can be managed. I believe it is essential that the Council shares its thinking with all stakeholders as soon as possible."
Councillor Ford has written to Maria Walker, Director of Education at Aberdeenshire Council asking what the council plans to do to advise parents and staff at the current Kintore Primary School.
