Sunset brings promise of spring

The daffodils have been keeping themselves covered up. And who can blame them? Even thought it is April, there is still ‘sna behind the dykes’ in the fields around Kintore and the temperatures remain stubbornly cold, with a biting wind.
Apparently March has been the coldest on record since 1969. I can believe that.
But, last night’s sunset behind Bennachie, gave us a promise of spring, with the potential for temperatures to struggle back into double figures in about ten days time. Maybe then we will be able to catch up on our late-arriving spring? Maybe then the daffodils might even risk popping their heads up?
