Fire service in Kintore

Last night’s fire at the old Torryburn Hotel has brought the matter of fire cover in Kintore to mind.
For a major fire like the Torryburn, units are brought in from the surrounding area and last night we could see the blue lights on the A96 as units converged on the Torryburn. According to today’s news reports there were 50 fire service personnel involved in fighting the blaze.
But it brings to mind a concern that has been niggling at the back of my mind for some months.
With the move to one unified fire service in Scotland, what is the future for the fire station in Kintore? Is there a future? Will the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service see the argument for keeping the Kintore Fire Station, when (viewed from afar) Inverurie looks so close by?
