Kintore and District Community Council
7pm 19th June 2012 at Kintore Primary School
Kenny Thomson (Chairman), Joan Thomson (Trreasurer), Councillor Martin Ford, Councillor Fergus Hood, Ann Marston, Lesley Monaghan, Linda Paterson, Ava Rennie and PC Brian Pirie.
Councillor Nan Cullinane, Sheila Gray, Kevin Watt and Drew Cullinane.
Kenny opened the meeting and welcomed everyone.
Minutes of Previous Meeting (15th May 2012):
Minutes Approved by Ann Marston and Lesley Monaghan.
A Police report was received and PC Brian Pirie attended. In addition the dog fouling has been reported to Brian and he will speak with the dog warden.
Matters Arising from the Previous Minutes:
Blackburn to Kintore Cycleway – no new update.
Tuach Hill – no new update.
Yellow Lines at the Hub – Martin Ford is to escalate this to the Council.
White Line on the corner at the Kintore Arms/Florist – Fergus Hood has escalated this to the Council.
Businesses have donated £800.00 for floral display. Still to receive around £150.00.
£1000.00 grant been awarded.
£208.00 is left from last year.
Statement of account has been sent to Banff for admin grant.
The youth have made cards to sell at the Thainstone Mart and at a local show. They have around 72 cards. Intergeneration project is well on way – a historical record of the village to be displayed in the Bothy. Extra funding has been received in order to keep Kelly in her role.
Bothy – awaiting a structural engineers certificate in order to obtain the builders warrant. There is no final cost yet.
Town Park Site – application was deferred 3 weeks ago by the Councillors for further negotiations. The developers haven't applied as per the development brief, there is a lack of education use.
New local plan is now enforce as of 01/06/12.
The gateway is not in the local development plan.
No new correspondence.
Aberdeenshire Council Update:
The Council has underspent the budget and this will be discussed at full council on the 28th June.
The extension on Kemnay Academy is urgently required.
Leaflets – these are almost completed. No feedback has been received from the public.
CC Forum – Kenny is the Chairman.
Garden Competition – this will be advertised in the local paper next week. Forms will be available from the 1st July. A Judge is still to be confirmed.
Grass Verges – these are overgrown, this should be maintained by the Council but due to landscape services having staff shortages its not being done.
Fence round the burn – the rubbish is building up again (the Council previously cleared it). Martin Ford is to ask the Council about putting signs on the fence.
Community Compost Group – this is to be added to next months agenda for discussion.
