Approval of Minutes
Minutes of last meeting held 18th May 2009 were approved by Ann Marston & seconded by Drew Cullinane
Matters arising from Minutes
Howieslap Football Pitches
Cllr. Ann Cullinane is looking into getting a bin for the area.
The Hub opened on the 13th June to a successful start. Graham is looking for volunteers and asks anyone interested to contact him.
Russell’s boundary fence: (GH) Has put an objection in via website. Historic Scotland have also put objection.
Rail Halt: This is an on-going project. A meeting was held on 4th June at Kintore Primary School. This will be under discussion at the next meeting.
Town Park: The original plan for a Town Park has been greatly reduced by the developers (from 4.5 to 3.6 hectares). It is also of concern that you would have to go through a housing estate to get to the Town |Park. A letter of Objection has been sent by KDCC. This will be discussed at next meeting.
Safelift of School Road): On-going
The Main Issues Report Response Form for the local development Plan 2009 has to be returned by 10am on Monday 6th July and everyone is urged to send your comments to Aberdeenshire Council. The form can be found on web: www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/idp E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
4 Treasurer’s Report
A cheque for £24 is required for Jim Coates for the Hanging Baskets with our thanks for all his work. A cheque for £370 for the Senior Citizens Outing is also required to cover the cost of the bus.

On annual Leave. An up-to-date report will be given at next meeting
Traffic incidents (locations – by Pass?) The Community Council would appreciate a breakdown of these and perhaps other figures in the future.
Senior Citizen Outing
The outing is organized for the 6th August. Going to Gordon Arms, Huntly for a meal and a visit to Glen Moray Distillery.
Graham kindly said that a percentage of the Local Hub takings (from the opening on 13 June) shall go towards the cost, if KDCC members assisted on the day. This would negate the need for a KDCC stall at KSF.
Kintore Pipe Band trip to Italy – This looks as though it may not be going ahead..
Common Good Fund
Common Good Fund: Graham McDonald agreed to contact Ian Fowell – Garioch Area Manager and ask how much is in fund. On-going
The road outside Sheila Gray’s house has still to be repaired despite several requests by Cllr. Hood.
Lairig Ghru Sponsor Walk on 24th May 2009: This was very successful with approx £2.5k raised. .
The Community Council congratulated Drew & all concerned at their achievement.
The Garden Competition will take place at the end of July. Please contact either Sheila Gray on 01467 632704 or Ann Marston on 01467 632808 with nominations. Jim Coates has kindly agreed to judge the gardens.
(GcK) Advised on the proposed supermarket. On-going
As discussed at previous meeting. (GMcK) Has applied for this scheme.
The issue of the state of roundabouts (overgrown with weeds etc.) on approaches to Kintore was raised. Have asked Cllr Nan Cullinane to look into this.
