PRESENTATION
Douglas Milne introduced Susan Adams as being the person tasked with facilitating the upgrade of Kintore Townhouse and the Fountain which stands in front of it. Susan circulated an information sheet which she had prepared ahead of the meeting and summarised its content.

Of specific interest were:- a sum of £97,616 had been made available from Council budgets for the work; Historic Scotland would play a part in the decision making relative to any alterations; the work is expected to be carried out between August and October this year; possible uses would need to be identified; a consultation group would be formed, involving members of Kintore community.

Susan further advised of the involvement of Malcolm Fraser, Architects based in Edinburgh. It is considered essential that a lift be installed to take users/visitors to the top floor, which is not possible, for disabled persons in particular, at the present time.

Discussion continued around possible uses (e. g. a museum) and all to be progressed through the consultation group and public consultations.
